Hello — and what Caledee is for#

By Imad · 2026-05-20

There are a lot of scheduling tools. Here's why we're building another one.

The three hosts we keep in mind#

  1. The independent consultant who wants to charge for discovery calls before they get booked, not after the no-show.
  2. The sales team that needs round-robin that actually honors every rep's calendar — not a CRM field that pretends to.
  3. The educator running office hours, workshops, and 1:1 — all with different availability rules.

If you don't fit one of those three personas, Caledee will still work. But we won't be optimising for you. That's the deal.

What we won't do#

  • No AI scheduling assistant that drafts a message back to your invitee. Your invitees can write their own messages.
  • No "AI-powered insight" dashboards. Calendar data is sensitive; we'd rather under-collect than over-mine.
  • No video conferencing of our own. We integrate with Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams. We're not in that race.
  • No mobile-app push notifications for hosts. Your phone is already too loud. Email + your existing calendar is enough.

What we do do#

  • Read your real calendar (Google, Microsoft, optionally Zoom) and never let two events stomp on each other
  • Render the booking page in the invitee's language and timezone
  • Track every penny that flows through Stripe — paid bookings + refunds + receipts
  • Ship workflows (reminders, follow-ups) on a schedule that respects per-event-type buffers and per-weekday minimum notice
  • Run the whole platform on European infra, GDPR-compliant by design

What's next#

The roadmap is in docs/ROADMAP.md in the repo. Right now we're closing Lot 13 (admin backoffice) and Lot 16 (integrations + API maturity). After that: meeting polls and the full translation pass.
