Terms of service#

Last updated: 2026-05-19. Effective from this date for new sign-ups; existing users have 30 days to opt out.

These terms govern your use of Caledee ("the service") operated by Galaxee (France). By creating an account or booking a meeting via a Caledee link, you agree to these terms.

1. The service#

Caledee is a scheduling tool. Hosts publish bookable links; invitees pick a time from a host's available slots and confirm a meeting. The service can sync events to the host's calendar (Google / Microsoft / Zoom) and send transactional emails.

We provide the service "as is" — best effort, no formal SLA at the Free tier. Paid tiers carry the commitments listed at /pricing.

2. Your account#

  • You must be at least 16 years old, or the legal age in your country, whichever is higher.
  • One person, one account. Don't share login credentials.
  • You're responsible for everything that happens under your account. Keep the password to yourself and use a strong one.
  • We can suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms (notably § 4 and § 8).

3. Subscriptions, trials, billing#

  • The Free plan is free forever, with the limits documented on the pricing page (one event type, one calendar, no custom branding).
  • Pro / Team plans have a 14-day free trial. If you don't add a card during the trial, your account drops to Free at the end. You keep your data; only paid features stop working.
  • Recurring subscriptions renew automatically. You can cancel any time from Settings → Billing; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • French law (Art. L.221-28 of the Code de la consommation) does not grant a right of withdrawal for digital services that begin before the 14-day cooling-off period, when the user has expressly accepted to start immediately — which you do when you click "Start trial". You can still cancel any time to stop future renewals.
  • Refund policy: bookings collected via the paid event type feature (Stripe Connect) refund logic is the host's responsibility. For our own subscription invoices: if you cancel within 14 days of the first paid invoice and have not actively used the service after the trial ended, we refund pro-rata on request.
  • Prices are listed exclusive of VAT. EU VAT is added by Stripe Tax at checkout based on your country.

4. Acceptable use#

You agree not to:

  • Use Caledee for unsolicited bulk messaging or any practice that would qualify as spam.
  • Send sexually explicit content, threats, or unlawful material via a booking page.
  • Attempt to access another user's account, data, or calendars.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems without explicit written permission.
  • Resell or sublicense Caledee without a written commercial agreement.
  • Send more than 100 emails per minute through the platform from a single account (technical fairness limit).

Breaching this section is grounds for immediate suspension.

5. Content ownership#

You own everything you put into Caledee: your event types, booking pages, custom questions, branding assets. You grant us a limited license to store, display, and process this content as needed to operate the service for you. We claim no other rights.

Caledee's source code, brand, name, and the user interface itself remain ours.

6. Privacy#

How we handle personal data is documented in the Privacy policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

7. Third-party services#

Caledee integrates with Google Calendar, Microsoft 365, Zoom, Stripe, Resend, Twilio, and others. When you connect one of these, their terms also apply to that integration. We're not responsible for outages or policy changes on their end. If a provider revokes our access (rare but happens), the related Caledee feature stops working until it's restored.

8. Availability and warranties#

  • We aim to keep the service up and accurate. We monitor uptime and alert on incidents.
  • We give no warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, of merchantability, or of non-infringement, to the extent allowed by law.
  • We are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, lost bookings, or data loss caused by user error, third-party outages, force majeure, or events outside our reasonable control.
  • For paying customers, our total liability in any 12-month period is capped at the amount you paid us in that period.

These limitations don't override consumer rights you may have under French or EU mandatory law.

9. Termination#

Either side can end the contract at any time:

  • You: cancel your subscription in Settings, or delete your account ("Danger zone").
  • Us: we'll give you 30 days notice for routine termination. We can terminate immediately for breach of § 4.

On termination, we delete your data per the Privacy policy retention schedule (typically 30 days for account data, with longer legal retention for billing).

10. Changes to these terms#

Material changes are communicated by email at least 14 days before they take effect. By continuing to use Caledee after that period, you accept the new version. If you don't, terminate your account before the effective date.

11. Governing law and disputes#

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute we can't resolve in good faith goes to the competent courts of the place where you reside as a consumer, or to the courts of Paris, France if you contract as a business.

Before going to court, please email hello@caledee.com — most disagreements get sorted with a single round-trip.

12. Developer platform#

If you build on Caledee — using the public API, OAuth apps, MCP access, or webhooks — these additional terms apply on top of the rest of this document.

  • API and personal access tokens. The Caledee API (v2) is accessed with a personal access token (PAT) or an OAuth access token. A token carries your permissions: treat it like a password, never commit it to a repository, embed it in a client-side bundle, or share it. You are responsible for everything done with your tokens.
  • OAuth applications. If you register an OAuth app, you must: store your client secret securely server-side and never expose it in a browser or mobile binary; describe your app and the scopes it requests accurately, with no misleading consent screen; request only the scopes you actually need; and honour user revocation immediately — when a user disconnects your app, stop using their data and delete what you no longer need a basis to keep.
  • MCP access. Where we expose a Model Context Protocol (MCP) endpoint, it is governed by the same token rules above. An AI agent acting through MCP acts on your behalf and under your account's authorisation; you remain responsible for its actions, including any data it reads or writes.
  • Webhooks. Verify the signature on every webhook you receive before trusting its contents, respond promptly (we retry with backoff and auto-disable an endpoint that fails repeatedly), and don't use delivered events for any purpose beyond operating your own integration.
  • Rate limits. API and webhook traffic is subject to per-account rate limits and fair-use thresholds. Limits exist to keep the platform stable for everyone; don't attempt to circumvent them with multiple accounts or distributed keys.
  • Abuse and revocation. Scraping, reselling data, sending spam, phishing through a consent screen, exceeding limits in bad faith, or otherwise breaching § 4 or this section may lead us to revoke your tokens, disable your OAuth app or webhooks, and suspend your account — where practical with notice, immediately where the abuse is ongoing or harmful.

Developer access is provided "as is"; we may change, deprecate, or version API surfaces, and we'll give reasonable notice of breaking changes where we can.
